A very happy new year to you all – wishing you health, happiness and success in 2014!
We’re not going to lie, 2013 was so great that we’re a little sad to see it go. However, we are pulling out all the stops to make the coming year even better. To kickstart it off, we have updated our website with some tips and resources to help our clients make the most of their photographic commissions.
- Our FAQ page covers some specific questions regarding working with doublespace and is designed to facilitate planning a successful architectural photography shoot. We have also provided some pre-estimate and pre-shoot checklists for your convenience.
- We have put together a resource page of external links, providing information on selecting professional photographers, understanding estimates and the factors that can affect the cost of a shoot.
- We have also posted our travel schedule on our website, to help minimize travel cost associated with shoots. This schedule will be updated on a regular basis.
In a similar vein, we’d also like to share with you a wonderful interview with the great architectural photographer Nick Merrick, which provides insight on what is involved in creating meaningful and lasting architectural imagery.
Last but not least: a friendly reminder that while the weather outside is frightful, winter can be a really great time to shoot exteriors. We’ll leave you with a recent image from the Canadian War Museum here in Ottawa.
